It's no secret fresh avocados have been around for a long time - the oldest evidence of avocado consumption dates back to 8,000-7,000 BCE which means avocado lovers have had a long time to experiment and perfect their favorite ways to enjoy them. One of the more common and easiest ways to enjoy fresh avocados is as a snack. From a plain avocado half with a sprinkle of salt to a bowl of guacamole with veggie sticks, an avocado is a delectable snack that is tough to beat.

Why Love an Avocado Today as a Snack?

  • It is a nutrient-dense snack and can help improve the nutrient quality of your diet - especially when eaten in place of other not-so-nutritious snacks
  • Avocados contain good fats- Making them a great substitute for saturated or trans fats. Skip the bad fat heavy snacks for the naturally good fats of avocado
  • Cholesterol-free, sodium-free and 8% of your daily recommended dietary fiber. Fiber adds bulk to your diet, which helps you feel full faster. An avocado is a natural and creamy indulgence you can look forward to all day
