Hass Avocado Bacon Mini-Burger Recipe
Mini burgers or slider burgers make an excellent starter or small plate appetizer for outdoor BBQs or gridiron tailgating events. This simple mini burger recipe combines avocado, bacon, blue and cheddar cheeses, red onion and arugula in one yummy avocado burger.

Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. course ground chuck
- 8 potato dinner rolls
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 ripe, Fresh Hass Avocado, sliced thin
- 4 oz. arugula
- 4 oz. cheddar
- 4 oz. blue cheese
- 2 red onions, sliced and caramelized
- Thick cut bacon, cooked
Instructions:
- Form meat into flat patties. Season patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill until desired doneness; remove from grill and let rest. Toast rolls on the grill or in the toaster oven.
- Place cooked patties on bun and top with avocado slices, cheeses, caramelized onions and arugula.
* Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
