This flavorful recipe uses black beans and roasted red and yellow bell peppers to represent the team's colors.
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe, large Hass avocados, peeled, pitted, mashed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup roasted red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup roasted yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 pickled jalapenos, chopped
- In a medium bowl, combine avocados, salt and lime juice.
- Mix in bell peppers, black beans and jalapenos.
- Garnish as desired.
Note: Guacamole is best made as close to serving as possible. For short-term storage, seal in an airtight container, with a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the guacamole.
Seattle Ultimate Game Day Hawkamole
Seattle's seaside location makes the inclusion of crab perfect in this guacamole recipe.
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe, large Hass avocados, mashed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, diced
- 1/2 pound cooked Dungeness crab, chopped
- 1 medium shallot, finely chopped
- Coarsely mash avocados.
- Stir in lemon juice, garlic and salt.
- Fold in crab and shallot.
- Serve with tortilla chips or toasted crostinis.
