Yankee Avocado Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 1 1ripe, Fresh Hass Avocado, cut, pitted and peeled
- 2 2 2Tbsp. TABLESPOON_USVolumefresh lemon juice
- 2 2 2Tbsp. TABLESPOON_USVolumefinely chopped red onion
- 1 1 1tsp. TEASPOON_USVolumeprepared horseradish
- 1/2 0.5 0.5tsp. TEASPOON_USVolumesea salt
- 4 4 4(¼-lb.) hamburger patties, ½-inch thick
- 4 4 4hamburger buns
- 4 4 4lettuce leaves
- 8 8 8tomato slices
Instructions
- In bowl, combine avocado and lemon juice, mash until creamy. Stir in red onion, horseradish, and salt. Place plastic wrap on surface of Yankee Avocado Spread; set aside.
- Over medium-hot coals, grill hamburger patties for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Open up hamburger buns and grill.

On each grilled bun bottom, layer lettuce and tomato slices. Top with grilled hamburger patty and spoon on Yankee Avocado Spread. Place on bun top. Serve.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
