The Green, White and Gold Salad Recipe

Enjoy a “golden” variation on the classic Italian caprese salad recipe that features fresh Hass Avocados and yellow tomatoes for added fun.

Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe, Fresh Hass Avocado, sliced
  • 3 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 large yellow tomato, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. virgin olive oil
  • 3 leaves basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp. white wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Arrange the sliced tomato, mozzarella and avocado so that the colors alternate green, white and yellow around in a circle on the plate.
  2. Mix the oil, vinegar, basil, salt and pepper and drizzle over the salad.

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
